Barcelona beat PSG 3-2 in Paris, take control of Champions League tie

Barca win first leg of quarter-final clash in France

Luis Enrique's side now in pole position to reach semi-finals

Barcelona took a big step towards the Champions League semi-finals with a 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Wednesday.

Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring for the visitors in the 20th minute, before Lionel Messi doubled their lead from the penalty spot just before half-time.

Kylian Mbappe pulled one back for PSG early in the second half, but Barcelona restored their two-goal advantage through Sergino Dest in the 75th minute.

Moise Kean reduced the deficit for the hosts in the 85th minute, but it was not enough to prevent Barcelona from taking a crucial victory back to Camp Nou.

The result leaves Barcelona in a strong position to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2019. They will be confident of finishing the job in the second leg at home on April 21.
