WBTV Announces New Anchor Teams
Meet the Weekend Evening Anchor and Reporter
Jane Monreal will join WBTV as the weekend evening anchor and reporter. Monreal comes to Charlotte from WSOC-TV, where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor. She has also worked as a reporter for WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and WFXL-TV in Albany, Georgia.
Investigative Reporter Nate Morabito Joins WBTV
Nate Morabito joins WBTV as an investigative reporter. Morabito comes to Charlotte from WFTV in Orlando, Florida, where he was an investigative reporter. He has also worked as an investigative reporter for WSOC-TV in Charlotte and WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
News Anchor Jamie Boll Joins WBTV
Jamie Boll joins WBTV as a co-anchor of WBTV News at 5 with Molly Grantham. Boll comes to Charlotte from WSOC-TV, where she was a morning and noon anchor. She has also worked as an anchor and reporter for WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and WFXL-TV in Albany, Georgia.
National News Anchor Sharon Tazewell Joins WBTV
Sharon Tazewell joins WBTV as a national news anchor. Tazewell comes to Charlotte from WSOC-TV, where she was a national correspondent. She has also worked as a national correspondent for CNN and Fox News.
The new anchor teams will debut on WBTV News on Monday, January 30th.
